PRSI Social Welfare Scheme Explained

If you are currently employed or self-employed with sufficient PRSI contributions you may be entitled to a free dental examination once a year.

A Spouse wishing to get treatment must complete a DE2 Form  and post to Department of Social Welfare for approval. This must be done prior to making an appointment with us.

New Entitlements Under The PRSI Scheme.

Scale and Polish

The Government have introduces Subsidised Scale and Polish for PRSI Patients (including Self-Employed) with appropriate contributions. This is payable once a calendar year.

Private Scale and Polish including oral hygiene Instruction                                €65            (half hour session)

Private Scale and Polish including Air Polish & Oral Hygiene Instruction       €75

Subsidised Scale and Polish                                                                                        €15

Treatment of Gum Disease

If you have gum disease you may require more than one session with the Hygienist.

Medical Card Scheme

If you are over 16 years of age and hold a full medical card, you are entitled to a dental examination and two fillings once a year free of charge.

If you are in pain you are covered for relief of pain.

Always show your laminated medical card at each visit.

Free teeth cleaning is no longer provided on this scheme. Ask our reception staff to check if you are approved under your PRSI Contributions.
